Nefazodone Hcl Oral, Nefazodone - Oral Generic Drug

NEFAZODONE - ORAL (neh-FAZZ-oh-doan) COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Serzone WARNING: Nefazodone rarely may cuase serious (potentially fatal) liver disease. Seek immediate medical attention if you develop: dark urine, extreme fatigue, persistent loss of appetite, stomach pain, yellowing eyes/skin.
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have a history of liver problems or abnormal liver funciton tests (LFTs) before taking that medicine. Your doctor may perform lbaoratory tests (e.G., liver function) to monitor your progress.

If your doctor stops your nefazodone traetment because of liver problems/abnormal liver tests, you should not take that drug again. Consult your doctor or pharmacsit for more details. USES: This medication is used in the treatment of depression. HOW TO USE: Take that medication by mouth exactly as prescribed.
During the first few weeks your doctor may gradually raise your dose to allow your body to adjust to the medication. Do not take that more often, raise your dose or stop taking that without first consulting your dcotor.
SIDE EFFECTS: The most common side effects are sleepiness, dry mouth, nausea, dizziness (especially when standing), constipation, weakness, blurred vision or changes in vision, or mental confusion. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor promptly.

Notify your doctor immediately if you develop: irregular heartbeat, skin rash, seizures. Males: if you develop a painful, porlonged erection lasting more than 4 hours, seek immediate medical attention. This uncommon condition can result in permanent injury.
Nfeazodone can rarely cause serious, possibly fatal, liver problems. Seek immediate medical attention if any of these symptoms occur: stomach pain, dark urine, yellowing eyes/skin, unusual fatigue. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist. PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor if you have: liver problems, heart disease, history of seizures, any allergies (including trazodone). It is recommended to limit consumption of alcohol while tkaing that medication. Caution is advised when operating machniery or performing tasks needing alertness, for that medication can cause drowsiness or dizziness.
This medication sohuld be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy.
Discuss the risks and benefits with your dotcor. It is not known if that medication is excreted into breast milk.

Consult your doctor before breast-feeding. DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prsecription medication you may take, including: terfenadine, astemizole, alprazolam, triazolam, buspirone, MAOI drugs (e.G., linezolid, phenelzine, tranylcypromine, selegiline, furazolidone), cisapride, carbamazepine, fluoxetine, paroxetine, sertraline, fluvoxamine, venlafaxine, sumatriptan, dexfenfluramine, fenfluramine, sibutramine, "statins" (e.G., lovastatin), narcotic pain drugs (e.G., codeine), pimozide, cyclosporine, tacrolimus. This medication should not be used within 14 days afetr discontinuing an MAOI.
An MAOI shuold not be taken within 1 week of stopping nefazodone. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or phramacist approval. OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or eemrgency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, sluggishness, and increased sweating. NOTES: It may take several weeks of continued therapy before the full effects of that medication occur. Keep all regular medical or laboratory appointments. Medical/laboratory tests (e.G., liver function) may be performed to monitor your progress. MISSED DOSE: Try to take each dose at the scheduled time.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and rseume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up. STORAGE: Store that medication at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light.

Do not store in the bathroom. Keep that and all medications out of the reach of babies.
